The design of the neck and chest of this harness has been unchanged for centuries. The special design spreads out the load across your dog's chest and shoulders, taking the pressure off the neck. Add in the premium padding choices, and you have a harness that is comfortable and easy for your dog to wear and work in. This half-back harness is ideal for bikejoring, scootering, canicross, skijoring and other activities which require a higher gangline attachment. This is also ideal for a walking harness, and as a sledding harness for dogs that have learned how to back out of their full-back harness. Also excellent for dogs that sidewind going down the trail, as it frees up the dog's rear quarters to slide sideways. This harness has 2 D rings on the back, the first at the midpoint where the girth comes through the harness. the second at the top of the withers. When used with standard ganglines you will need a longer 55" tugline to compensate for the more forward attachments. 1" wide webbing.
Padding choices:
Super plush is a synthetic pile with woven backing. Extremely soft and ideal for thin-skinned, thin-coated dogs. Does not pill up, and is machine washable.
Polar fleece is a Dacron polyester material. Holds a lot of air, so helps with insulation. Water-resistant and machine washable.
Neoprene is a nylon casing over closed cell foam. Virtually indestructible and provides extra cushion for heavy pulling, or for thin-skinned and thin-coated dogs. Water-resistant and resists freezing down to -30 F even if wet. Machine washable.
